Photos with Santa: Through December 23

him what they would like for Christmas. Our professional photographers will be on

Department 56 Village Display:
- North Pole Village (approximately 150 buildings)

Inspired by the enduring legend of Santa Claus. At the North Pole, Santa and his
elves busily work and sing, preparing all sorts of toys for children around the
world. This hand-painted porcelain series began in 1990 and the collection includes
brightly colors buildings, candy cane lamp posts and benches, and fun loving elves living
in an enchanting frozen kingdom where snow never melts and the spirit of Christmas lives
every day. While the elves make and test toys, run deliveries, and prepare Santa's
sleigh, the reindeer practice their flying skills. The town offers much to do, like
sample gingerbread, observe the night skies, or shop for greenery. The scenes here
become enduring symbols of Christmas spirit and childhood dreams, spreading joy to all.
- Dickens' Village (approximately 240 buildings)
Step back in time to gas street lamps and horse-drawn carriages. Look back to
the 19th-century of Charles Dickens and the holiday season of Victorian England. A
walk down these mystical cobblestone streets easily takes you from the city to the
countryside, keeping true to traditional Victorian themes.
Made of hand-crafted porcelain by highly skilled artisans, this series was introduced in
1984 to capture both the detail of the times and the spirit of the holidays past, present
and yet to come. Many pieces even feature animation or sound for additional
authenticity and fun. Best of all, a multitude of accessories add realism and depth
to the holiday village setting.
